⛳ CLUB WAR – TOURNAMENT FORMAT
4 Days • 3 Courses • 1 Unforgettable Golf Weekend
Club War brings together golfers from across the country for a competitive yet social weekend unlike any other.
The format mixes teamwork, fairness, and fun — blending scenic courses, live digital scoring, and exciting Calcutta action in a perfectly organized four-day experience.
While the structure remains consistent, certain details such as venues, reception locations, and course selections may vary based on each event location.
👥 TEAM FORMAT & ENTRY DETAILS
Teams are made up of four players — any gender — ages 18 and up. A total of 36 four-person teams will be accepted for each event.
Players may register individually, as a pair, or as a complete team of four. For individual or pair entries, Club War will do its best to match you with teammates, but no promises on level or personality (ha!).
💲 COST & PACKAGES
The total weekend cost will vary depending on the courses and destination, but most events are expected to range between $700–$800 per player — an incredible value for three rounds of golf at three pristine courses, including daily lunches, snacks, and drink tickets.
🏨 HOST HOTEL PACKAGES
Each location will feature an optional host hotel with both single and double occupancy packages that include tournament entry fees.
Staying at the host hotel is encouraged for the full experience but not required to play in the event.
🍸 THURSDAY – WELCOME RECEPTION & CALCUTTA NIGHT
Location: Host Hotel or Designated Venue
Time: 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Venue: Private banquet or lounge area (specifics announced prior to each event)
Kick off your Club War weekend in style with an evening of drinks, light bites, and friendly competition as the live Calcutta Auction sets the tone for the tournament. Meet fellow players, learn the weekend schedule, and get ready for three incredible days of golf.

💰 What Is a Calcutta?
A Calcutta is a fun, optional auction-style side event that adds excitement and strategy to the weekend.
Every team is auctioned to the highest bidder. The winning bidder becomes that team’s ‘owner’ for the weekend.
At the end of the event, owners of the top-finishing teams share in the Calcutta prize pool, distributed by division standings.
You may buy your own team, bid on another, or form a group to bid together. Participation is completely optional.
All unsold teams are automatically purchased by Club War at 50% of the base bid, ensuring every team is represented and every division payout remains full.
Silent bidding for all teams begins Monday at 12:00 PM local time. Bids can be placed by players, guests, or spectators via the Club War website or app.
Online bidding closes Thursday at 12:00 PM, just before the live Calcutta begins. The highest online bid becomes the opening bid Thursday night.
Since divisions aren’t set yet, teams are auctioned in random order during the live event.

Payout structure by division results:
• Division I – 50%
• Division II – 30%
• Division III – 15%
• Division IV – 5%

Each player will receive a Club War Player Gift Bag at check-in during Thursday night’s reception. Inside are premium branded items, essential tournament materials, and the official punch card for daily food, drinks, and snacks.
Gift contents may vary slightly depending on event location.

🏌️ FRIDAY – DIVISION PLACEMENT DAY
Friday determines each team’s division for the weekend. Every team starts together — results today set your Division I–IV placement for Saturday and Sunday.
36 teams (144 players) split into two waves:
• Morning Wave: 7:30 AM
• Afternoon Wave: 1:00 PM
Each team of four starts on its own hole (shotgun start). Round duration: approximately 4.5 hours.
👥 Team Setup & Partner Rotation
Each 4-player team plays 18 holes using 6-hole partnership rotations:
• Holes 1–6: A + B, C + D
• Holes 7–12: A + C, B + D
• Holes 13–18: A + D, B + C
Each 6-hole segment is a 2-person scramble with rotating partners.
⛳ SATURDAY – DIVISION PLAY
Saturday begins the competitive rounds, where each team splits into two partnerships, each playing alongside another team’s partnership for verification purposes. Scores from both of your team’s pairings will be combined to determine standings heading into Championship Sunday.
The field will be divided into two flights once again:
Divisions III and IV tee off at 7:30 AM
Divisions II and I tee off at 1:00 PM
Teams must plan their pairings strategically — Saturday partnerships cannot be the same as Sunday’s, so keep that in mind when setting your lineups.
Results from Saturday determine the pairings for Sunday’s final round.
🏆 SUNDAY – CHAMPIONSHIP DAY
Sunday crowns the champions of each division. Each 4-player team splits into two new partnerships for one final 18-hole scramble (cannot be the same partnerships as Saturday). Pairings for Sunday are based on Saturday rankings.
For example, the #1-ranked Team Partnership A will pair with the #2-ranked Team Partnership A, and the #1-ranked Team Partnership B will pair with the #2-ranked Team Partnership B, and so on.
If an odd number of teams exist within a division, the lowest-ranked team will either pair with another division or play solo.
When two courses are available, the entire field will compete in a single morning session beginning around 8:00 AM and finishing by approximately 2:00 PM.
Scores from both of your team’s partnerships will be combined with Saturday’s total to determine final standings and the Overall Champion.
At the conclusion of play, awards and Calcutta payouts are presented immediately post-round.

A full-field, ranked, championship-style Sunday brings the weekend to a perfect close — fair, exciting, and efficient so players can depart by mid-afternoon.
